Favourite Game Based On A Movie, Comic, Book Or Cartoon
The easy answer for this one would be Batman Arkham Asylum but I already used that game for my favourite super hero game. So to avoid repeating myself, I'll pick something different, Ghostbusters on the PS3.
Being a child of the 80's I grew up on the Ghostbusters movie and cartoon series and loved them. Both movies easily appear in my top 5 films of all time so when news a of a new Ghostbusters video game broke featuring the voice talents of the original cast I was sold.
Now let's not beat around the bush here, it's the fact that this is an official Ghosbuters game including the voice talent of Bill Murray that makes me love this game. If it was under any other name with voices from unknown actors then I wouldn't have looked twice at it.
The game is a standard 3rd person action affair in which you take on the role of a new Ghostbuster recruit working alongside Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston to once again rid New York of ghosts. It features several nods to the movies as along with your favourite 'Busters the game also includes Slimer, the Stay Puf Marshmallow Man and every 30 somethings vehicle of choice, ECTO-1. You are also kitted out with all the ghostbusting equipment you need from proton packs, slime guns, PKE meters and some new toys to spice things up.
Ghostbusters The Video Game is a fun little adventure which will make any fan of the franchise smile and relive a few childhood moments. While not a classic game by any means, it worth a play.
